During my visit in Tokyo, together with an artist Koichi Kiyono I have visited the Gallery Saoh. The Gallery is situated in the centre of Tokyo, in the first floor, and has beautiful space for the exhibitions. In the Gallery was installed the artist’s book exhibition “The Book: Vol.3”.

Here, in the Gallery Saoh, I met my friends, Japanese artists. Few of them several times participated with wonderful artist’s books in the “International Artist’s Book Triennial Vilnius”, like Toshihiro Hattori, Yuko Ebina, Ryoko Adachi, Yuko Wada. It was great to meet very kind director of the Gallery Saoh and curator of the artist’s book exhibition Mrs. Yoshiko Yokojima, to meet other artist’s book creators, to see beautiful artist’s books and to talk with artists.

In the Gallery Saoh were exhibited artist’s books and artist’s book-objects of Ryoko Adachi, Yuko Ebina, Toshihiro Hattori, Jin Hirosawa, Kazumi Ohgose, Yoko Takahashi, Yuko Wada & Kestutis Vasiliunas.

I love Tokyo, wonderful town, where you feel yourself very good, safe and where are so calm.

    I am an swedish photographer, working mostly with exhibitions but for 3 years I started to interest in Artist`s books. Me and Max I collaborate with have participated in some exhibitions in Sweden and Denmark. We are planning to go to Japan and Tokyo during the autumn 2019 and try to get a scholarship and Iaspis. And need documented contacts in Japan and one invitation. Is it possible that you have any contacts that could help us? We are two persons travelling and we will both work on the same projekt. Happy for any kind of help! The application have to be in 1 of dec.
