“Canticles”

New Artist’s Book Exhibition in the Virtual Gallery – Ana Maria Rodriguez “Canticles”. Ana Maria Rodriguez was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. She has worked professionally as an artist since 1981. Artist works mostly with textile art, so it is natural, that artist’s books in this Exhibition are made from different kinds of fabric. Ana Maria Rodriguez participated in the 5th International Artist’s Book Triennial Vilnius 2009.
Ana Maria Rodriguez:
“The Artworks shared are part of the same series, in which the Search was made approaching craft materials in which, through research work is accomplished to immerse the artwork into poetry. Combining testing of materials with the poetry of Maria Eugenia Vaz Ferreira (Uruguayan poet) in some books, or with the simple use of single words in others, trying to reach with this union fantasy and harmony, representing through textile artworks poetry.”
